A couple of months ago my acne was quite severe and irritated. My facialist advised me to switch to a BB cream and she suggested Jane Iredale’s Glow Time BB Cream. At first, I was apprehensive because my acne made me a bit insecure and most BB creams don’t offer much coverage. However, this was the worst my acne had been in a long time, so I took her advice. I ordered two samples of Glow Time to test which shade would suit my skintone the best and ended up finding my holy grail product!
Jane Iredale Glow Time BB Cream Coverage: The product is as full coverage as a BB cream can get! No, it’s not like Estee Lauder’s Double Wear but it covers all of my red spots and it’s definitely buildable.
Long-lasting: When I was coming home from Greece, I was ready by 10 am on a Friday and arrived in London at around 6 pm the next day. Due to the back to back travel, and various modes of transportation taken, I didn’t have time to fix my makeup. It stayed on my face for 24 hrs + and I DIDN’T BREAK OUT! Obviously, you should always make sure you remove your makeup but this was a one time occurence.
Price Point: Glow Time Full size £39.95, sample size £4 and it lasted 2 weeks! For some, this may be the deal breaker. Personally, I tend to buy mid range foundations so the price is doable. I suggest ordering a sample size to find your shade because not too many stores in London offer testers in store.
Glow Time BB has become an essential for me! It’s great for acne-prone skin and I’ll definitely repurchase.
I’ll end this review with a few benefits this BB cream provides via the Jane Iredale UK website:
- Covers blemishes, minimizes the appearance of pores, disguises wrinkles and smoothes and brightens skin.
- Contains SPF 25 or SPF 17* (it varies in shades).
- Water resistant to 40 minutes.
- Smoothes and brightens skin.
- Non-comedogenic, dermatologist and allergy tested.
- Reef safe.
